Seven Resourcing and Solihull Council are collaborating to hire a Business Support Officer for the Children, Young People, and Families Services.

YOU MUST possess a DBS for this position.

Time Duration: Initial contract until December 31, 2022, with an extension option.

Wages: £16.81 hourly

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will lead in providing administrative, financial, and informational support and tasks that allow the service to operate effectively and social work professionals to focus on their professional duties.


To provide the service with complete administrative and financial support.

To proactively track critical information and performance data while maintaining data quality.

To assist employees with calendar management, venue planning, and meeting coordination.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming inquiries, fostering relationships with young people, caretakers, families, and other professionals to effectively and tactfully handle issues.

To utilize IT equipment and systems effectively.

Assist social workers in utilizing electronic client record systems and aid professionals ensure the accuracy of all data entered into systems.

Ensure all incoming correspondence is handled effectively and by company standards.

To take accurate minutes at large, complex meetings and transcribe and distribute them within the timeframes specified.

Maintained extensive filing and recordkeeping systems, prepared legal files, photocopied confidential material, and assisted in preparing case records as required per the Access to Records Policy.

Perform reception duties as necessary.

 Any other duties that may be necessary to achieve the objectives of the post or to assist the Directorate in achieving its goals are commensurate with the incumbent's grade, skills, and aptitude.

Applicant Requirements:

– Qualifications: Relevant Qualification

– Experience: Two or more years of administrative/business support experience.

– Compliance: Passport and DBS in good standing.

– Travel: Possess a valid UK driver's license and the ability to commute to work independently.

– Hours: 37.5 per week.
